Video DJ Battle 2024

Qualifying: Online Entry Only

DJs wishing to participate in the battle must submit a 2 Minute Video Submission to the Video Dj Conference website by September 1, 2024

DJs should do their best to grab the judges attention in a short amount of time. Do not waste any time and show the judges what you got. DJs may you use any variation of controller/ MIDI Pad/ Turntables/ Mixers. The DJ performing must remain visible during the entirety of the submitted video set with a clear view of their hands.

DJs will be judged on the following categories:

1. Technical DJ Skills (the ability to scratch, juggle, and execute DJ techniques)

2. Use of Video Content (How is the video being incorporated in the Dj Set)

3. Originality (The creativity and uniqueness of Audio/Video in their performance)

4. Difficulty and Execution (The difficulty of techniques vs how well it was performed)

5. Entertainment Factor (the enjoyability of their set to the audience)

The field of DJs Entering will be narrowed down to a top 6 from the online entries by a judging panel. The Top six and 1 alternate will be invited to perform live at the Video DJ Battle during the Video DJ Conference.

Contestants moving on to the live show will be notified and they will have more than a month to prepare for Battle

Live Battle

The selected DJs will each have 6 minutes of stage time to put on a killer Video DJ Battle Performance. DJs should let the conference know ahead of time what their set up will be composed of any gear preferences they might have.

DJs will once again be judged on the following categories:

1. Technical DJ Skills (the ability to scratch, juggle, and execute DJ techniques)

2. Use of Video Content (How is the video being incorporated in the Dj Set)

3. Originality (The creativity and uniqueness of Audio/Video in their performance)

4. Difficulty and Execution (The difficulty of techniques vs how well it was performed)

5. Entertainment Factor (the enjoyability of their set to the audience)

The goal is to impress a panel of judges and the audience with their music selection, technical abilities, and showmanship. An elite Panel of judges will rate the contestants based on the criteria listed above. DJ Dini, Joshua Carl, Larry D, and others will help declare a winner, which will be crowned the Video DJ Champion!

The Live DJ battle will be a high-energy and exciting event that celebrates the artistry and creativity of Video DJs, while also challenging them to push their limits and entertain the crowd.

Top 3 places will be announced and Prizes will be awarded to the winner
